You may take an airport shuttle – Banff Airporter – from Calgary International Airport with a reservation at least 1 hour in advance by contacting the hotel concierge for schedules and rates at BSHConcierge@fairmont.com
This bus runs approximately every 40 minutes into Banff at CAD 2 per person. Daily hours of operation are 6:35 am to 11:15 pm (rates subject to change without notice).
A number of well known car rental agencies offer rentals out of the Calgary International Airport (eg. AVIS, Budget, Dollar, Hertz, Thrifty, Tiden). Hertz also operates out of the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel in Banff.
From Calgary AB (approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes)
- From Calgary, head west on Highway 1 (Trans Canada Highway) for approximately 120 km until you reach the Banff National Park entrance gate. The gates are open 24-hours.
- Once you have passed through the park gates, continue driving West for approximately 10 km until you reach the first exit to Banff (noted as Banff/ Minnewanka Loop).
- After taking the exit from the highway, turn left at the stop sign onto Banff Avenue. You will drive through the town of Banff until you reach the Bow River Bridge. After crossing the bridge, immediately turn left at the “T” intersection onto Spray Avenue and keep left until you reach the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel.
